Whilst using iMovie more and more, I have realised that there are a number of things that I can do to brighten up my darker videos. I can use the brightening tool and also add effects to the videos to make them brighter and sharper. This may mean that I do not have to re-film these outdoor sections as I had planned to but I will be re-filming some of the indoor shots with my main-actress anyway. Whilst I have my actress, I may re-film some of the outdoor shots to compare them with the shots I already have, however, this section of filming depends heavily on the weather which means I may have to wait for a few weeks. For now, I will continue to edit my video together using the darker shots which can then be replaced later on.
This first picture is an example of my darkest shot. The second picture shows how I have brightened it and made it sharper, allowing my actress to be seen more clearly. I have had to make this clip black and white as the camera did not capture any other colours because of the dull weather. I actually think this black and white looks very interesting in contrast to the brightness of some of the other clips, eg;
